Certificated structured wiring cat. 5E, 6, 7
The structured wiring is a method of construction and preparation of the network cable for the transmission of data in PCs’ networks. To this day, the most popular and reliable wiring systems are those based on cable 5/6/7 UTP or FTP and / or fiber optic cables.
The first consists of 8 twisted pair wires, offers very interesting characteristics both from the point of view of transmission speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) that protection from electromagnetic disturbance eternal to the cable, the second in the various types can be adapted to various modes of preparation, internal, external, underground, and armed or not, with a minimum of two fibers in order to have the signal necessary for the transmission / reception data.
Using this cabled system, there are standard international guidelines(standards EIA / TIA 568 A or B and ISO / IEC 11801) well known and specific installations necessary to install correctly the network cable. Compliance with these regulations in the installation of structured cabling system is necessary to require any law’s certification now become necessary to work within the European Community. Naturally, all passive network equipment must be conformed to this legislation to obtain the studied results and the required certification.
Wireless System
The wireless system allows you to connect your PC Desktop and laptop PCs to the LAN without the need for physical connections via cable. Each access point allows the simultaneous connection of 63 clients at a maximum distance of 100meters and due to the dynamic variation of the connection speed and load balancing allows connections more reliable.
Easy to install and use the system makes it very useful in environments where theimpossibility of laying cables is very important for the company (example, buildings of architectural interest, insurmountable obstacles, impossible physical connections, etc..). The access points, network cards, both PCI and PC Card, extend the services provided by the enterprise LAN at each meeting room or office ensuring when and where you need performance comparable to those provided by wired systems.
International Rules on Wirning
The rules and standards at the base of plant networks for data transmission are (in chronological order):
- EIA / TIA 568A (Electronic Industries Alliance/Telecommunications Industries Association) American standard and currently the most applied and common in the world.
- ISO / IEC IS 11801 (International Standards Organization / International Electrotechnical Commission). IEC is responsible for preparing rules used by 64 member countries, which include all the industrially developed nations, including Italy.
- PrEN 50173 Final Draft (European norms issued by the Technical Committee CENELEC TC 115). CENELEC is the coordinating body of EU Member States, which has as main purpose to adopt the IEC rules to member countries and to prepare rules’ drafts.
The prEN 50173 standard incorporates and adopts on EEC / EU the ISO / IEC IS11801. In view of above, the standard reference for this project will be the ISO /IEC 11801 in the following are basic points. The cabling system must also be compatible with a variety of standard products and protocols, including at least - ISO / IEC 8802.3 (Ethernet) - ANSI FDDI - ATM - 100BaseT - 1000Base T.
The substantial differences with the American standard EIA / TIA are:
- Nomenclature slightly different for the elements forming the wiring
- introducing the concept of job classes to define minimum requirements of a section of connection
- enlargement of the range of types of cable that can be used, both at the level of copper and optical fiber, with inadmissible the use of coaxial cables
- provides a greater number of data on the characteristics of transmission media
- introduction of more stringent tests to check the categories of copper cables
- more detailed discussion of the aspects of ground lead in consideration of the fact that is introduced the use of shielded twisted pair cables
